Regional Carnival Queen Show – Saturday 25 June 2011
This is an important element in the early promotion and attraction of the carnival and will be an opportunity to see the crowning of the Carnival Queen. An event not to be missed!
Derby Caribbean Carnival – Saturday 16 July 2011
(Procession from Pear Tree Junior School setting off at 1.00 pm, along the procession route – Pear Tree Street, Portland Street, St. Thomas’ Road, Pear Tree Road, Normanton Road, Babington Lane, St. Peter’s Street and finally ending up at the Market Place outside the Assembly Rooms at approximately 3.00 pm)
Costume exhibition and stage show at the Market Place until 6.00 pm.
Derby Caribbean Carnival - Sunday 17 July 2011 (12.00 noon to 9.00 pm)
Osmaston Park, Osmaston Park Road, Derby DE24 9HY. Stage show with international artist, sound systems, beer tent, funfair, food stalls (traditional Caribbean food as well as European food) and arts and crafts stalls.
